We're Melody (she/hers) and Alex (he/him), the co-founders & lead instructors of SwimCity Aquatics. We are a husband-and-wife duo, and we officially opened SwimCity Aquatics in 2022 when we left our day jobs to turn this side passion into our life's work. We are teachers first and swimmers second, but above all else? We love the water. Between the two of us, we have over 2 decades of aquatics experience, in addition to expertise in childhood education after Melody served in adaptive elementary classrooms in NYC for almost a decade. We welcome all ages and all abilities to join us and our Coaches at the pool. Our instructor team is here to grow and nurture the love of water in all New Yorkers - with safety as our priority. We’re swimmers, for life. Swimmers, for life.
