Journey: A Unique Grief Support Group (Rapid City) - (22)

The death of someone close causes deep sorrow in those left behind. Though this is a normal response to a loss, survivors experiencing grief often struggle to resolve the unique issues related to their loved one’s death. The support of a bereavement group is valuable because survivors can learn not only what is normal in grief, but how to cope effectively with the changes and strong feelings that arise. Also, a group offers encouragement and the opportunity to share thoughts and feelings with others without judgement or criticism. The group is led by two grief counselors with personal experience, plus knowledge and training in a multitude of bereavement reactions and PTSD. If you have lost a loved one prior to Feb. 1, 2024, you would benefit from participating in this 8-week group.
