Hello, my name is Whitney, and I'm a senior-year dental hygiene student offering free dental cleanings at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill CA. Each semester, we have specific requirements that must be met, and this semester, we need patients with many hard deposits (calculus). Because it is a teaching clinic, the appointment process differs from that of regular dental offices. The appointments usually consist of 3-4 appointments, each being 2hr and 45minutes long. The first appointment is a screening appointment where we screen for oral cancers, infections, and lesions and take radiographs if you don't already have them. Once accepted into the clinic, the following appointments are the cleaning appointments. The amount of appointments is dependent on how much calculus you have. *****I OFFER TO REINBURSE YOU FOR THE X-RAYS AND CLEANING IF YOU COMPLETE THE CLEANING IN FULL. IF YOUR MOUTH COUNTS TOWARDS A TEST CASE (A SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENT FOR THE SEMESTER), I WILL PAY YOU $100 ON TOP OF THE X-RAYS AND CLEANING.
